    Export to Denmark

Hello Kroebje And thanks for the answer. This is the kind of information I wanted. The 15.000 EUR was just an example. I will definitely be 100% sure of the price before I travel to Bayern. I read a thread in this forum (18.06.2006 - topic: GS 300) that a person also wantet to buy a low km car (98-99) and another person (R4_de) thought the prices were too high, but of course the car I'm looking at is a little bit newer. What do you think the price should be (max.) if I were able to buy the same car from a private person? Regards, Kim

    Export to Denmark

Hello I'm thinking of buying and importing a GS 300 to Denmark where I live. First of all I would like to apologize for not writing in German, but unfortunately I haven't written German since I went to school 15 years ago. But I understand German very well when I read it, so please write German if you like  I would like to buy a car with registration around 1999-2001. The car should not be newer than that, because I have to pay the (infamous) Danish registration tax for the car. The registration taxes is around 2 times the German price. Fx. if I buy a car with the price 15.000 EUR the taxes will be around 30.000 EUR and the total price 45.000 EUR :shocking: Actually, they will not just multiply the amount with two, but instead compare the cars to others (= 6 cars) offered for sale in Denmark and calculate the registration taxes that way. I'm thinking about this car: LINK For me it's the perfect combination of colours both inside and out, but I think the price is too high, especially because it's not the facelifted model and a new model has come. Also, I don't need any warranty from the dealer, because he will never see me again - I don't want to travel 1000 km. if something happens with the car (nothing serious I can imagine). How much do you think the car is worth? I always try to make the price smaller at the dealer, but I don't know how much I can expect in Germany. Honestly, I would be glad to buy a car from a private person, but there are not very many for sale. It whould be 1) cheaper for me and 2) the person would become more money from me than from the dealer. I'm interested in a 1999-2001 silver GS300 with grey leather. The car should have no more than 70-80.000 km. on the clock. It should have a full service book as well and should be clean and well kept with not too many scratches (sorry for all these demands, but this is a *big* decision so it must be pefect) <_< If it has navigation it must be the DVD-version (-> facelifted). I'm also interessted in the model without navigation, because I already have a very nice widescreen Kenwood DVD SatNav in my Camry. I could fit this system into the Lexus using a special kit I found online. I hope that perhaps you can help or guide me somehow, so I can make the best deal. I appreciate your help very much. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Kim
