  1. Lexus IS350 so far in USA testing had slightly worse braking distances than competition (but still better than most new cars on the road). GS for instance had better. Most people thought it was due to eco-tires. New Toyota's brake well - Auris brakes better than Golf VII, but thats NOT important :-)
  5. http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/real-world-mpg-executive-saloons/1207982 The What Car? True MPG team takes a range of new cars for a thorough road test every week, using special equipment to measure their emissions. Unlike Government data that comes from a laboratory test, our tests show you indicative real-world MPG figures. The latest models added to the True MPG database include the latest executive saloons from Audi, BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. All four were tested with an automatic gearbox and – apart from the Lexus's petrol-electric hybrid setup – a four-cylinder diesel engine. The official figures for these cars are more than 60mpg, but can the saloons match this is our real-world test? The BMW 320d Efficient Dynamics is our reigning Executive Car of the Year. It managed a respectable 53.2mpg in our tests, although this is still a 15.7mpg deficit on its lofty 68.9mpg official figure. The 320d’s result beats the new Audi A3 Saloon's; the 148bhp 2.0 TDI Sport model achieved 48.3mpg in our test, 14.5mpg down on the claimed economy of 62.8mpg. The Mercedes CLA 220 CDI has the same official economy as the A3 Saloon, but it performed slightly better in our test – its 50.0mpg was 12.8mpg lower than the claimed figure. The most fuel-efficient saloon of the bunch was – perhaps unsurprisingly – the hybrid. The new Lexus IS300h claims 65.7mpg in Government figures, but our technicians recorded 54.6mpg from its petrol engine mated to an electric motor. - See more at: http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/real-world-mpg-executive-saloons/1207982#sthash.ZFdSgukj.dpuf

:-) http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-third-generation/700545-well-the-is300h-is-no-slouch.html
  9. hello friends, i was told that IS300h will have 240hp, and cost 37k in Germany, while IS250 will be 32k, from my friends at regional HQ that went prototype testing... i would assume same engine will come to GS... Apparently it is not the same as in Camry or ES300h. I also had a chance to drive GS250, and it is way too slow... I had GS350 before, and drive IS220d now. GS250 is a skip :)
  10. so far, nothing but these two... no diesels either. Should be at dealers by 03/2012.... not that far away!
  11. both IS250 and IS300h in Germany, 32k Euro vs 37k Euro in Germany. IS300h with 240hp. Better handling than new GS. How does that sound my german friends? :-)
  12. and here I though Focus handles perfectly and lexus sucks, according to AMS, Autobild, Autocar, etc :-).
(20.000 km / Jahr) :-). ------------- Opinion: - GS300 for 23k Euros. - IS220d for 20k Euros. Same mileage - 100,000km for both, GS is 2007, IS220d is 2008. I am concerned about future resale value of GS and difference in fuel consumption overall. Is there any? (20,000km/year) :-).
