Im US-Forum hab ich die Liste bekommen mit den Personal Settings was der Kunde bzw man über dn Händler einstellen kann (zwecks auto-door-lock z.b.)

What is C-Best and the C-Best settings for the RX 300?

C-BEST system stands for "Customized Body Electronics" System. It is a system that allows customization through the dealer's handheld tester with C-BEST cartridge installed.

The variables that are available for customization are as follows:

Wireless Door Lock Remote Control Wireless operation Yes* / No

Door ajar warning beeper Yes* / No

Automatic Lock operation 30s* / 60s

All door unlock (one press) On / Off*

All door unlock (2 presses) On* / Off

Panic Alert Operation On* / Off

Door Lock Control (Key)

All door unlock (key turn 1x) On / Off*

All door unlock (key turn 2x) On* / Off

Illuminated Entry Light Illum time 7.5s / 15s* / 30s

Interior lights illum on key unlock On* / Off

Automatic Lights Sensitivity -40%/-20%/0%*/+20%/+40%

Control logic switchover New(type 1)* / Prev (type 2)

Theft deterrent Passive arming On / Off*

Vehicle horn and security horn On* / Off

Entry delay time switch 0s / 14s* / 30s

Power window system

Key-linked open On* / Off

Key-linked close On* / Off

*denotes default factory setting

It takes the dealer about 10-15 minutes to change any or all items.

1. Connect meter to DLC3 port

2. Turn on ignition

3. Go to "Customize" menu to make selections. Most dealers do not charge for this service.

Die Auto Lock Funktion ist aber nichts anderes als die aus dem IS 200/300 bekannte Funktion

dass sich das Auto nach 30 Sekunden wieder von selbst verschließt wenn vorher keine Tür geöffnet wurde oder?

Die Funktion dass sich die Türen ab einer bestimmten Geschwindigkeit verriegeln und erst wieder entriegeln wenn in Parkposition hat der EU RX 1 also auch nicht?!

Doch das kann man da aktivieren! Das hatte ich angefragt im Forum :thumbup: Nur muss man dann selber öffnen, das geht nicht auf der P-Position. Aber auf D soll er dann verriegeln.

This has been discussed in the past, but not for a while. The locking of the doors is a programable CBEST function. I think only Lexus dealers can modify these settings, but some do it for free.

If the RX is like my mother's ES300 of the same period, the doors lock when you shift to Drive, but don't unlock when you shift to Park.

This is correct. You can have the dealership change the CBEST setting to lock once engaged to "D" The feature of unlocking once in "P"ark is not an option however, but I think it's better this way. Locking for safety is a good idea, automatically unlocking just because you put into "P" is not so good. What if I don't want to unlock yet. I'll unlock myself thank you...

Muss da mal fragen in der Lexus-Hall <_< Mich würde es schon intressieren, vielleicht doch die Angst was aus dem TV rüber kommt, wo immer wieder Autos überfallen werden, oder nur die Angst um mein Werkzeug :rolleyes:

Ich hätte das auch gerne im IS, aber beim letzen Service hieß es geht nicht !

Mit dem Personal Settings Blatt das ich ausgedruckt hatte konnten oder wollten die auch nichts anfangen.

Viel mehr als Lichtsensor verstellen läuft nicht :thumbup:

Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, kann man die Einstellungen nicht selbst vornehmen.

Man muß also dafür zum Händler fahren?

Nicht toll für so einfache Einstellungen, die man über ein on Screen Menü slber machen könnte.
