🚀 LC F News 🚀

Things we know so far:
-New developed 4.0 V8 Twin-Turbo engine with 600-650hp
-Engine will be tested during the 24h endurance race at the Nürburgring in September 2020
-Price Tag around 180.000-200.000$
-Complete new development of all performance parts

Speculations/News:
- 80% that the car will be a two seater, even with a higher stiffness than the LFA the LC F will definitely need the extra stiffness to compete against the M8 and other rivals.
- It probably won't be an "F" model any longer... Former F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi officially retired this month, it seems that Akio Toyoda prefers the Gazoo Racing department over other ones in the Toyota motor corp.
All testing of the LC prototype at the ring have been done by Gazoo Racing, former tests of the CCS-R, RC F GT, RC F GT3 and even the new Supra GT4 have been done by our favorite racing team Ring Racing, currently both teams work together very well and even share the same box at the pitlane, but as far we know RingRacing has no information about the development of the LC F or even the LFA mule that was spotted around the ring.

- The LFA mule that was spotted at the ring with some minor changes is possibly a testmule for the new LC F, as you can see in the pictures they changed the front and rear fenders + the rear bumper, that means that they are probably testing a whole new suspension which is completely different compared to the current LC ones. Of course it makes sense to test a new suspension on a much stronger performance car like the LFA which will be technically much closer to the LC F than a stock LC500 with around 100hp less.
As you can also see on the test mule photos of the LC they changed the brake system against a racing system and the front has more exposed coolers than a stock LC, it's quite sure that they will have massive thermical problems with the new engine, just as any other manufacturer had in the past.
Probably they are testing the cooling system and the new suspension first to redesign the whole new model around it instead of beginning with the design of the body first.
- Around september the LFA test mule was stopped by the police around the Nürburgring, a Japanese driver forgot his driving license at the hotel, using Japanese drivers who work close with Gazoo racing indicates again that it will be a Gazoo Racing LC and not a LC F.
- Former race car aerodynamics for the RC F GT and the CCSR were developed by TRAS carbon who always worked close with Yaguchi-San, the former F engineer, since a few years there were no new developments by TMG or TRAS, that means hat the whole development will be probably done completely by Gazoo racing, an other indicator for a Gazoo Racing LC.

- Our former guess on the release date was 2021/2022, since they officially announced to test the new Twin-Turbo engine during the racing season 2020. One year later they could have easily tested the whole pre production LC F during the racing season 2021 to make last corrections.
Today Germany confirmed the cancellation of all big events until end of August, that basically means that there won't be a racing season 2020, the 24h race was already postponed from May to September, with the new regulations in Germany and the state of emergency in Japan we don't expect any or much testing of the LC F in 2020. So the new release date would be probably more around 2022 unfortunately.
