Cookies are tiny text files that are stored on a user's browser. Most cookies contain a unique identifier called a cookie ID: a string of characters that websites and servers associate with the browser on which the cookie is stored. This allows websites and servers to distinguish the browser from other browsers that store different cookies, and to recognise each browser by its unique cookie ID. Cookies are widely used by websites and servers to provide many of the basic services that are found online. A cookie can’t read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. Some parts of the club website uses cookies to track user traffic patterns. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use most parts of the website.  You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser, although you may not be able to take full advantage of the club website if you do so. In particular, you may be required to accept cookies in order to complete certain actions on our website (Essential Cookies).

We use a third party vendor, Google Adsense, to drop cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to the website. Google's use of the DoubleClick cookie (DFP, formerly called Google Dart) enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users that are based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites across the Internet. AdSense sends a cookie to the user's browser after any impression, click or other activity that results in a call to Adsense servers. If the browser accepts the cookie, the cookie is stored on the browser. Most commonly, AdSense sends a cookie to the browser when a user visits a page that shows Google ads. Pages with Google ads include ad tags that instruct browsers to request ad content from our servers. When the server delivers the ad content, it also sends a cookie. But a page doesn’t have to show Google ads for this to happen; it just needs to include Adsense ad tags, which might load a click tracker or impression pixel instead.

Users can opt out of ads personalisation by following the instructions at and will no longer receive personalised advertising from Google.

Tapatalk is an application designed to provide improved forum access for mobile platforms over access provided by the forum software itself.  Tapatalk allows the user to have a unified interface to access multiple forums at the same time.

The Tapatalk Plugin does not access any personal information, such as name, email, or cookie information, of forum members. And the Plugin never collects any sensitive information, such as Tax ID numbers, banking or credit card information, or health information.

Tapatalk does not store any IP address information, and instead, uses alternative tools to detect spam and inappropriate posts.

The Tapatalk Plugin uses an encrypted token version of the email for login therefore, the application does not have access to the actual email.

For users of the Tapatalk app, a consent management platform in app will collect authorisation by the user for information that is gathered by the app, and control with whom the information is shared.

Information that is gathered by the app

  • The app collects information that is aggregated for analytics purposes (e.g., Google Analytics, or Matomo (aka Piwik)). The aggregated information provides analytics of the Tapatalk app usage for your forum in the Tapatalk Console
  • The Advertising Identifier for the mobile device is used for targeted advertising. The user will have the ability to turn the permissions on or off by ad provider. If the permissions are turned off, the user will still see the same number as ads, but they will be less relevant.
  • If a user elected to register for a Tapatalk ID, Tapatalk will collect the email address of the user.
  • If a user wants to use the Tapatalk ID to become a member of a forum, Tapatalk will ask permission to share that information with the forum they want to join. If permission is not given, Tapatalk will not be able to register the member.
  • A user can request to delete their Tapatalk account, and all information about that user will be purged within 30 days. However, Tapatalk will not delete the posts or images by that user. They will need to contact The Club to have that information removed.
