Greetings from Sweden
In general there is no such thing as an "all season tyre" for a 4 season climate, you will ALWAYS end up with a compromise...
Lots of this "all season" ideas comes from US of A where people tend to think 4WD is a substitute for wintertyres... in my opinion you end up with a compromise that no good summer tyre nor a good winter tyres just poor and cheap..
In Europe you have three "lines" of winter tyres:
Nordic type friction often Q or R-marked and biased on snow & ice sacrificing the performance on wet and dry , very soft rubber intended to be soft in -20C , awful to use in higher (+10C) temperatures, poor handling om wet and hot , longer braking distance on wet in summer temperature
Nordic studded made for studs from the design table already VERY good on real winter and low temps, high noice levels on tarmac, Forbidden in Germany ..
Mid-European friction type often T or H marked made for around zero temperatures handle pretty OK on wet and dry and acceptable on snow and not so good on ice, made for a few snowy days mixed with sluchy and rainy days, sacrificing the winter grip a bit for better handling in wet /dry
This is where some of the "All season" belong not all though
So based on the local weather in Malmö, Sweden ( equal to north Germany) i have been using Mid-european friction tyres past 15 years with no problems
A bit OT: Sweden has a EU exception from the law on TPMS on newer cars sicne we change tyres twice a year and therefore more often keep cheking our tyres and tyre preasure...
